#FreePalestine
All our hearts are currently feeling very heavy and helpless for Palestine.
Although physically we cannot do anything, the best thing we can do is to pray and to raise awareness! To educate our youth. It may be a prickly subject but for muslims Palestine is a place of great significance, the first direction of prayer, Isra wal Miraj, Isa alayhi salam birthplace and much more. We must educate and do better!
Top tips when discussing Palestine with youngsters:
Use sensory play - I always find through sensory play lots of discussion opens up.
Be Truthful - Yes by all means shield your children from the worst but they will surprise you with their understanding and compassion - Treat Palestine like a family member.
If it doesn't register with them don't worry! - just be consistent, and even if they don't say anything at the time, all the information is in their brain digesting.
Below I have attached an open ended resource for colouring to use as an aid in learning about Palestine. It is free but I have a request, if you download please also if you can donate here Emergency Appeal.
